This collection contains material relating to the career of Professor Emeritus James E. Smith, Jr. who became a nationally known floriculturist for his succesful promotion of the grading and standardization of cut flowers. Materials consists of printed, typewritten and handwritten items such as the following: reprints, brochures, rosters of registrants at flower shows, flower show presentation outlines, flower judging forms, group photographs, correspondence, telegrams, news clippings, scripts for radio talks, etc. Also includes publication "Flower Arranging: a manual.
